WTCC
A downloadable framework for Windows, Linux, and Android
At this stage, this is a simple buzzer app that will let you buzz from your mobile phone to a desktop app (as long as both are on the same WIFI)
How it works
The idea behind WTCC is to make gaming with people in the same room easy.
To do that there's a WTCC browser mobile app that will look for WTCC enabled games running on the Local Area Network (eg. WIFI) and enable you to log with a profile and connect to those games.
On connection, those games will serve you with a controller specific for that game.
This way, in order to play with a group of people, each player should only have the WTCC browser and be connected to the WIFI.
Tech details
Announcing and finding the games is solved with Zeroconf.
Real time communication is handled with Socket.io since it has ports to multiple languages, it will be easy to make WTCC compatible with lots of platforms.
WTCC features for the game are provided by a server app written in Node.js
Browser app is currently made with Ionic, but will migrate to React Native in the future
